Greetings!

My name is Pastor Steve I have been here at La Crosse Community for nine years. Here at La Crosse Community I work with youth and families. I oversee our Youth, Teens, and the education and training of our people. I am 34 years old and I am married to a beautiful women named Denae. We don't have any kids of our own yet, but we are hoping that God will soon bless us.
I enjoy watching families come to experience the love and grace of God in their households. God really transforms the household when both the parents and the kids allow God to reign in their home. It is truly an honor and a blessing to be used by God to minister to the families of our church.

It is my goal to help the families of our church make Joshua 24:15, "As for me and my house we will serve the Lord." a commitment in their houshold.

I grew up on a farm in southwestern Wisconsin enjoying sports and hunting. I joined the Army at 17 and served for 5 years. After my discharge, I moved to Joliet Ill where I attended church with my sister. In the fall of 1982, I gave my life to the Lord and was freed from drug and alcohol addictions. I married the greatest lady ever in 1985 and God called me to be a pastor in 1987. I began a home study course and then attended Nazarene Bible College. I began my first pastorate in January of 1990 at the Reedsburg Community Church of the Nazarene and served for over 11 years when I joined the team restarting the church in the coulee area. I am now the outreach Pastor for the La Crosse Church of the Nazarene, a Police Chaplain, and a prayer counselor at City Prayz. My mission is to find ways of impacting the community, facilitate new Bible studies, and training others in outreach. I also teach Dave Ramsey’s FPU class and teach Hunter Safety.

I gave my life to Christ during February, 1976. I was then called into full time ministry in June, 1980. I graduated from Anoka Hennepin Technical College for Architectual Drafting in 1978. After being called by the Lord into ministry, I began to prepare through Northwestern College. From there I went to Nazarene Bible College and graduated in 1984 with an AA degree. My wife Wyonne along with our daughter Denae started our first pastorate assignment at the Berthoud Colorado church of the Nazarene. The Lord opened the door for our second pastorate in Appleton, Wisconsin. While serving in full - time ministry there, I finished my BA degree through Mid-America Nazarene University. My third pastorate the Lord directed us to, was here to Onalaska and our new start here in La Crosse. I am the administrative Pastor and adult teacher. I have served on the District Advisory board; Work and Witness coordinator; Credentials board; and District Properties board. My future goal for this church is to see lives changed and the inpact of Christ on those I minister to.
